Fire Safety Engineering / Fire Protection Engineering                                                (Based in Malaysia or Singapore – depending on candidate profile)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Engineer with experience in Fire Safety Engineering (FSE) and/or Fire Protection Engineering (FPE) to join our growing team.

This role offers flexibility depending on your experience:

• Candidates with strong Fire Safety Engineering experience will lead performance-based design and fire strategy development
• Candidates with Fire Protection design experience and interest in FSE will be trained and developed in performance-based fire engineering

You will play a key role in delivering projects across Singapore and the region, with opportunities to take on leadership responsibilities as the team expands.

 

Key Responsibilities

•  Lead and deliver Fire Safety Engineering (FSE) and/or Fire Protection Engineering (FPE) design for projects
• Develop fire strategies, performance-based designs, and technical reports
• Carry out or support fire engineering analysis (e.g. CFD modelling, evacuation modelling)
• Design, review, and coordinate fire protection systems (where applicable)
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development
• Support business development and project proposals

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum of 3-5 years (Executive) and 5–8 years (Senior Engineer) of relevant experience in fire engineering or fire protection design 
• Experience in either:
  • Fire Safety Engineering (performance-based design, CFD, reports), or
  • Fire Protection Engineering (sprinkler, hydrant, alarm systems, etc.)
• Candidates without FSE experience but with strong FPE background and willingness to learn are welcome
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Fire Safety Engineer accreditation is an advantage
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g. Singapore Fire Code, NFPA, etc.)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

 

Work Location 

• Role may be based in Singapore or Malaysia, depending on candidate profile and project needs
• Candidates based in Malaysia will support Singapore projects remotely and travel when required
• Short-term overseas travel may be required for regional projects
