We are seeking suitable and motivated candidates to join our Fire Safety & Risk Engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to join our growing office and play a role in the delivery of Fire Safety & Risk Engineering design services for some of the most exciting building projects in Singapore and overseas.
The role will involve:
(a) Developing fire safety strategies
(b) Carrying out detailed fire engineering design and analysis, from concept to detailed design stages
(c) Developing computer simulations of fire dynamics and fire spread, and interpreting fire and smoke modelling studies
(d) Project Management ensuring that work is delivered to schedule and budget, client liaison and attending regular meetings
The prospective candidates are expected to possess most of the following requirements:
• MSc/degree in Fire Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Fire Safety and/or Risk Engineering
• Computer fire modelling expertise such as CFD simulation, Risk modelling, Evacuation modelling, etc
• Experience in Quantitative Risk Assessment
• Preferably be a registered professional in the field
• Display strong initiative and work independently
• Be willing to travel overseas for projects
• Good written and oral communication skills
** Candidates with relevant experience could be considered for a Senior role.
Responsibilities:
• To manage ESD projects with minimal supervision.
• To provide clients with solutions to achieve the desired green ratings.
• To control ESD projects ensuring that work is delivered to schedule and within budget.
• To liaise/coordinate with project team, clients, contractors and suppliers on all ESD-related matters
• To conduct all necessary computerised modelling and calculations in support of ESD projects such as energy modelling, daylight and glare analysis, wind modelling, ETTV calculations, etc
Requirements:
• MSc/degree in ESD, Building Performance or related discipline.
• At least 2-3 years of relevant working experience.
• Understanding of GBI, Green Mark, LEED or other Green Standards will be an advantage.
• Ability to use ESD related softwares such as IES, Ecotect, E20, etc will be a bonus
• Display strong initiative and work independently
• Good communication skills
• Be willing to travel overseas for projects
